Chaffey finished off the round robin portion of the tournament going 6-0 with a win over the Seattle Bombers 7-3 last night at the U.W.
Chaffey put five runs on the board in the top of the third when Kevin Corrigan doubled into right, Bryce Anderson ws hit-by-a-pitch, Mason Schlenker singled to load the bases, Brett Bielec singled into left scoring Kevin and Bryce, Mark Gegax drew a walk, when Brandon Howard singled into left scoring Brett and moving Mark into third, Matt Hague hit a sac-fly into right to score Mark to give Chaffey a 5-0 lead. Matt Hague, Brett Bielec and Brandon Howard each went 2-for-4 for the game.
Mason Schlenker singled to lead off the fourth and stole second, Brett Bielec reached first on a error allowing Mason to score, giving Chaffey a 6-0 lead.
Brandon Howard lead off the fifth with a double into left cetner scoring in Kevin Corrigan double to extend Chaffey’s lead to 7-0. Kevin went 3-for-5 for the game with a single and a pair of doubles.
Seattle added three runs in the sixth. Chris LaLonde threw the first three innings, Ian Frost threw the fourth and fifth not a allowing a run to score. Andrew Pass threw the sixth with Sayre Peralta coming in to close out the game throwing the seventh inning.
Chaffey ended the round robin portion of the tournament going 6-0 and moving intothe play-off round as the number one seed.
Chaffey next game will be at Friday night at the U.W. at 5:30PM against the number four seed in the tournament.
