Chaffey got strong pitching from Matt Raff throwing the first five innings on the game allowing only six hits with two earned runs, Ian Frost came in the throw the sixth inning of scoreless and hitless ball, Trevor Peterson came in the seventh gave up only hit in 2/3’s of an inning, Nicholas Haughian came in to get the last out and preserve the win.
Kevin Corrigan tripled in the top of the second and scored on Trevor Peterson’s sac-fly to left, Ryan Berryhill doubled into left and scored on Josh Waite’s double to give Chaffey a 2-0 lead. Arizona came back and scored two runs in the bottom of the second and added two more in the bottom of the 3rd to take the lead at 4-2.
Chaffey came to the plate in the fourth when Trevor Peterson singled into right, Ryan Berryhill was hit by a pitch, Josh Waite hit a fielders choice forcing Ryan out at second, Charlie Herche singled up the middle scoring Trevor, Kyle Gilbert bunted both Josh and Charlie into second and third, with two outs Nate Santiago singled up the middle scoring both Josh and Charlie, to give Chaffey a 5 to 4 lead. Nate Santiago and Shane Sullivan both went 2-for-4 for the game.
Kevin Corrigan doubled in the top of the fifth and scored on Ryan Berryhill’s single into right for Chaffey’s final run of the game. Kevin went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, along with Ryan Berryhill who also went 2-for-3.
